Green-Wood Cemetery

To some, ” cemeteries hold great appeal. They’re peaceful; they’re reverent; they combine history and biography with nature and stillness….” according to The New Yorker.

To me it just means property depreciation.

Green-Wood Cemetery none-the-less combines all of the best features mentioned by The New Yorker – as not only the resting place for the founding ‘fathers’ but one of the “anchor” Monk Parakeet colonies in Brooklyn (the other is Brooklyn College).

They even host nightly events there if you need an Adrenalin rush or to spook your girlfriend into your arms on your first date.
