Let’s TAKE ACTION and work together to meet the commitment by 2020 that Earth Day organization has planned starting with programs to make our schools greener and safer.

Launched in 2011, the Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools Program is the federal government’s first comprehensive green schools initiative and has tremendous implications for schools across the United States. Green Ribbon School awards recognize public and private schools that reduce environmental impacts and costs, improve the health of students and staff, and provide interdisciplinary environmental education.
